Does this Blogsite Make My Wallet Look Fat?"
August 19th, 2008
Last week I was interviewed by friend and client Duncan Brodie. Duncan is putting together a ton of resources for his Goals and Achievements Giveaway.
The focus of the interview was blogsites of course. Duncan asked me a number of questions from what is a blogsite, what are the first few steps to get started with a blogsite, what are some of the common mistakes people make when creating their blogsites and what are the benefits of a blogsite over a traditional site. This interview was recorded and is part of the big giveaway, so if you’d like to hear it be sure to sign up at www.goalsandachievementsgiveaway.co.uk
After the interview, Duncan and I spent some time socializing. We had a great conversation about business building and how most coaches build their business without thinking about their lifestyle. I think many of us, myself included, are guilty of this. We build our businesses and then shove our family, friends and well being into the time and energy that’s left over. Soon enough we either resent our clients, friends or family or they begin to resent us! We may want to consider re-evaluating our businesses annually or semi-annually to ensure that our lifestyle and lifestyle changes still fit our business models.
I believe this is just one of the reasons why Duncan is putting together the “Goals and Achivements Giveaway“. These resources will help you build your business, develop your management skills and your leadership skills. Be sure to visit his blogsite and sign up for the giveaway.

Does this Blogsite Make My Wallet Look Fat?"

I’m really excited about this…
I’m writing to tell you about a unique event that I think you’re going to want to attend. I am thrilled to be a featured speaker at the upcoming Day of Marketing, a live event featuring top experts giving highly focused, no-nonsense information about marketing a private practice.
Please join me there, if any of these sound like you:
Are you…
…an experienced therapist, coach or other professional with a private practice that is not as successful as you want it to be?
…fairly new in private practice–full of enthusiasm but short on business-building know-how?
…all over the map with your marketing and seeking a coherent strategy?
…feeling “no good” at this marketing thing and wanting to spend your time coaching?
…wondering how to market your services in a down economy?
If you answered “yes” to any of those questions, I completely understand. No matter how well-trained you are in your own field, chances are you didn’t get much–if any–training in marketing or business building.
But that can change in a day, a Day of Marketing. I encourage you to click on this link and register today:
www.DayOfMarketing.com
At Day of Marketing, you’ll be able to learn from the experts–rather than from frustrating trial and error–exactly how to build a clientele and a thriving business. You’ll also be able to consult with an expert one-on-one about your specific practice.
The goal of this 1.5-day event is to provide a comprehensive marketing training that will take you to the next level in your practice–starting from wherever you are.
Day of Marketing will take place all day Friday, May 16, 2008, and half a day on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Columbia University in New York City.
10 Marketing Topics, 10 Marketing Experts
At this event, you will learn from 10 experts, each speaking on one of the essential components of private practice marketing and business-building.
This is the first time that this amazing line-up of experts has ever been brought together. This day of learning will give you direction, clarity, understanding and actionable take-away strategies on every aspect of your marketing. You won’t feel so confused any more!
Check out all the expert presenters and topics here.
Marketing Makeovers & 1-on-1 Consultations Included
One of the biggest reasons I don’t want you to miss this event is the incredible half-day Mastermind Saturday. This is concentrated learning at its best!
Mastermind Saturday takes the learning from Friday’s Day of Marketing and puts it into practice, beginning with a session on how to put all the pieces together into a cohesive marketing plan.
Next–and this is really exciting!–some lucky attendees will be selected for on-stage marketing makeovers. Whether you’re chosen or not, there will be great learning in that for everyone.
Following that, every single attendee at Mastermind Saturday will receive a 20-minute laser session with an expert. You’ll be able to review your current materials or seek advice for a specific marketing need in your practice. Wow!
Early-Bird Pricing–Get it now!
The organizers of this event, Linda Claire Puig of Claire Communications and Deborah Gallant of Web Power Tools, are offering an early-bird rate that you should pay attention to NOW and not later.
Instead of the already incredibly low price of $497 for both days–Day of Marketing and Mastermind Saturday–if you register before April 6, you’ll pay only $347!
Register here.
This is an AMAZING price for the value you’ll be receiving! This rate ALSO includes breakfast, lunch and the Networking Reception in the evening. But you must register before April 6!
Register here.
If you can only make it to one day or the other, there are a la carte prices, with early-bird discounts, too.
So don’t wait any longer to register! Go right now to: www.dayofmarketing.com.

Sign up today for an exciting Day of Marketing and Mastermind Saturday at this great early-bird price! It may be the turning point in your private practice…what you need right now to make your business exactly what you want it to be!
To your success!

Deborah and Linda wanted me to remind you that if you attend the Day of Marketing and are not satisfied with all the learning you’ll take away, you have their promise of a full money-back guarantee. Take a moment now to invest in yourself and register for Day of Marketing. I’d love to see you there! www.dayofmarketing.com

A generous offer from Rey Carr of www.peer.ca
If you have a newsletter about coaching that you’d like to have listed on their website as available to coaches or the general public, all you need to
do is send Rey the following information:
1. The name or title of the
newsletter or publication
2. A very brief description of typical
content
3. A short statement about a unique aspect of your newsletter (if
appropriate)
4. The frequency of publication (monthly, weekly, occasionally,
etc)
5. The subscription method and address (URL or email)
After their
web team reviews the details, they’ll add it to their list of coaching
newsletters at http://www.peer.ca/coaching.html
There is no fee
or charge for this service. Their web team will often select particular
newsletters as "Featured" and will then include information about the
newsletter in their own monthly publication. Typically, newsletters on their site are listed in alphabetical order, except for those that are "featured,"
which are placed at the top of the list for a period of
time.
Pretty fabulous!
You can contact Rey at rcarr@islandnet.com
